Terms and Conditions
By booking a consultation/course you agree to abide by the following:

 

1. Illness. Injury

In the event of illness or some other unavoidable impediment to trainer availability, Lymer Self Defence reserves the right to use replacement trainers of a suitable calibre, if available. In the event that training cannot take place as agreed due to trainer illness or impediment or due to travel problems caused by hazardous road or weather conditions, Lymer Self Defence reserves the right to cancel the training. In this event, a new training day will be agreed with the client.

 

2. Confirmation Of Dates

Once course dates have been booked/confirmed all payments owed will become due. With regard to cancellation please see item 3 below.

 

3. Postponement Or Cancellation Of Confirmed Consultation/Course Date – Cancellation Fees
Should you decide to cancel your booking prior to the course commencing once booked/confirmed the following sliding scale of charges will apply:

 

  1. 28 days prior to consultation/course date: 50% of consultation/course charges will be payable (50% refund).
  2. 14 days prior to consultation/course date: 75% of consultation/course charges will be payable (25% refund).
  3. 7 days – 24 hrs or less: 100% of consultation/course charges will be payable (0% refund).

4. In-House Consultation Fees

First hour consultation is free.  Subsequent consultations are £60.00 per hour + travelling expenses or reimbursement of rail/underground fare as applicable.  Evening accommodation, evening meal & breakfast to be arranged or charged for if an overnight stay is required prior to a consultation/course commencing.

 

5. Overdue Payments And Formal Debt Recovery

Please note that any overdue payments may unfortunately result in formal legal action being taken to recover the debt owed including our legal right to claim interest on any outstanding amounts owed under The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as supplemented and amended by the Commercial Debt Regulations 2002.

 

6. Copyright And Use Of Training Material

Our courses are carefully structured and based on up to date research and best practice and are tailored to be context and environment specific to meet the needs of attendees and the training objectives of the client organisation.

 

The copyright of all course materials including course notes, questionnaires,  feedback forms, visual teaching aids and PowerPoint presentations remains at all times the property of Lymer Self Defence.  All teaching and attendee material produced for use within our courses will be supplied by Lymer Self Defence unless otherwise agreed. If course notes are printed by the client organisation, the copyright still remains that of Lymer Self Defence and the author. Supporting course notes and material for attendees is supplied for use as a personal reference and revision aid only. Material must not be used for commercial training purposes, edited, circulated or reproduced in any shape or form for wider distribution or externally without the explicit agreement of Lymer Self Defence.

 

7. Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a consultation/course booking.  If we cancel a consultation/course booking you may reschedule to another date.  Alternative, you may request a full refund.  Our refund policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or damaged goods where applicable.

 

8. Promotional Discounts

Where promotional discounts are applied to consultation/courses, the discount will be applied to each item. In the event of a refund, you will not be refunded the discounted proportion.

 

9. Photography

Whilst adhering to the attendees consent, all photography and video recording of course delivery remains the property of Lymer Self Defence.  No photography or video recording is to be conducted by a third party without our consent.  A copy of such will be supplied to us.

 

10. Venue Arrangements
All venue arrangements for in-house courses and expenses are the responsibility of the client.  Out-of-house course venue expenses will be payable by the client.
